Admission deposit refund request form

About refund requests
Your admission deposit is non-refundable unless Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) rejects your study permit application. To qualify for a refund, you must include proof that IRCC has rejected your study permit application. Once we’ve verified this and approved your request, we’ll refund your deposit.
You must request your refund by the last day to enrol for the term when you’ve been admitted. We don’t grant refunds if you’re still awaiting a decision from IRCC on your study permit application.
The Admissions Office will review your request, and after their assessment, you’ll receive an email outlining the next steps.
Important: If your first study permit application was rejected and you plan on reapplying to the University of Ottawa within the same calendar year, don’t request a refund. You can receive a new provincial attestation letter (PAL) and submit another study permit application.
Consult our immigration specialists at imm-intl@uOttawa.ca to get help with your submission and to request a new PAL.
If you have any questions or need support on the study permit application process, please contact our immigration specialists at imm-intl@uOttawa.ca, and explore more information on the process.
